Faith Speaks
Hebrews 11:6 says: “Without faith, it is impossible to please God”. Faith welcomes divine intervention and when it is vibrant, miracles take place. Consider the profound faith of one woman, a true daughter of Abraham. For eighteen years, she was bound by a spirit of infirmity, a captive to the evil one. Yet she persevered, her spirit unwavering, her heart fixed on God. Though she prayed in silence, her faith spoke volume as the court of the King came in session.
For years, she visited the synagogue, drinking not the pure milk of the word, but a version so diluted by traditions and interpretations, it was rendered ineffective to help those oppressed by evil. That was until the presence of God incarnate in Jesus, entered the premises. This woman's long-suffering faith intersected with that divine presence, and God responded with an uncontested show of power. Though she did not approach Him, He came to her, calling her a "daughter of Abraham", a “woman of faith”. He took note of her profound faith and declared, "Woman, you have been bound for eighteen years, but today, through My virtue, My presence, and My power, I declare you unburdened from your infirmity. I declare you free!"
Halleluiah! In the presence of God, the bound become loose. That day, the woman of unwavering faith was set free. Her faith was noticed; a faith that truly pleased God. This set an example for us to not be weary when our hope does not yet materialize or give up when it seems God remains silent in the face of our suffering. What this story of faith tells us is that it is inconceivable that such a woman of faith could remain eternally bound.
If you hear His voice today, do not harden your heart, but possess a faith that draws upon His presence. Do not let overwhelming despair keep you bound. Let your faith touch the heart of mercy and bow before the throne of grace. Exercise your faith and dance before a King to incite His good pleasure. He may give you anything you ask for, even up to half His kingdom.
You may have been bound for a long time but let this season to your advantage. Perceive in your heart the presence of the King ushered by the praise of His people and let His compassionate eyes fall upon your misery. Today, the presence of God is here. This very moment, healing and deliverance are here. The heart of God longs to be touched, more than you could ever desire for Him to mercifully touch you. His face is here, shining upon you. Let Him bless you. Let His peace come upon you, to bless you and your generations.
Let it be so!
